One of the most distinctive features of kiss anime was the way it marketed itself. This was in the form of a premium service. Subscribers were required to pay a one-time fee of about $50, with this money covering all costs involved in hosting, maintenance and running the site. Although it was the largest and most popular anime website, this service wasn't without competition. Several other anime portals offered similar services at a lower cost. So why did kiss anime attract so many visitors?

Basically, to attract more visitors, it offered a user-friendly interface, which was especially appreciated by younger viewers. Anime fans found it easy to navigate and chat with other members. The site had a very intuitive interface, which made browsing through anime series a fun experience. There were sections devoted to discussion boards and discussion groups, as well as specialized forums for discussing specific anime topics.

Aside from the user-friendly interface, another appealing aspect about kiss anime was that it had the best alternative cartoon section. Categories such as action, Comedy, fantasy, science fiction, and others kept the browsing experience exciting and interesting. Moreover, the site featured not one, but two if not more video clips for popular anime movies.

However, although it may have a large user base, it didn't appear to be getting the number of visitors it could do without. In addition to the two video sections, it also had a few image galleries. The only bad thing about the website was its music selection. The songs were often inappropriate for viewing while in the anime environment. To cap things off, the forum community offered an assortment of anime related discussions. Despite having so many negative aspects, kissanime still managed to remain a popular service unto this date.
