Why Am I So Tired? A Closer Look at One of Life's Most Challenging Problems
Why am I so tired? This is a question you may be asking yourself every single day. As I get older, I begin to feel fatigued at various times. And my body is constantly going through a lot of wear and tear.
At one point, I was completely unable to understand why I was so tired. It was as if something was holding me back physically and mentally. I felt like I was getting old before my time, and that my days of physical and mental challenges were coming to an end.
I read a lot of books on the subject of aging, and I tried a number of different things to treat myself, but it didn't seem to help much. I also tried prescription medications and got side effects that I'm not too fond of.
My doctor suggested that I make some major lifestyle changes. Things like giving up my evening coffee and soda habit, drinking more water, and eating healthier foods.
In addition to these changes, he suggested that I do more physical activities than I did. He also said that if I cut back on caffeine and alcohol, I'd likely see a reduction in the fatigue that I felt.
I was able to quit coffee and soda with the help of a friend who said that she tried to do that too. She had told me that drinking those drinks would not only make me feel exhausted, but that she would have trouble getting to sleep and even cause headaches.
Why am I so tired? It all started to make sense to me after I took up aerobics class for the first time in about two years. I enjoyed the activity and began to feel refreshed.
I soon discovered that I could keep up with the group even though I was a little rusty when it came to doing physical activities. I soon found that I was able to exercise just about any part of my body, and that I was having the most fun I've ever had in a class.
